Primeiro de tudo vamos entender melhor a diferença entre números ordinais e cardinais? 

Os números cardinais são os numéricos simples, como conhecemos. Exemplos: um, dois, três…

Já os números Ordinais, como o próprio nome já entrega,  são números que se referem a ordem de alguma coisa, por exemplo: primeiro, segundo e terceiro… E também é usado para datas em inglês. 

Então, como falamos números ordinais em inglês? Basta acrescentar o “-th”. Simples assim. A única exceção para não usar o “-th” é quando nos referimos aos três primeiros números. 

Abaixo você poderá ver cada número em sua forma cardinal e ordinal.

Como seriam os números abreviados? 

Na hora de abreviar os números é bem simples também.  Basta adicioonar as duas últimas letras do numeral correspondente:

• 1st
• 22nd
• 19th
• 10th
• 23rd
